[SIPForum-discussion] Can FROM header field contain IP address.

Hi,

Is is possible to have IP addresses in the FROM header field?
According to RFC 3261 , it is not possible but i m not understanding why?

I had run many call in my SIP system where it takes IP address in the FROM.
so please tell me the reason.
